As mentioned in a previous blog post, we began working on the chalkboard wall in our home office. My stepfather is a natural when it comes to drawing so he was our obvious choice to help us on our chalkboard project. I've been on the fence on what I
really wanted to do. I've considered a basic wall quote and even a street in Paris. Since Rob and I could handle a quote, I figured I'd start off with the more difficult drawing of the street. My stepfather did a great job. It took him no more then 15 minutes. We did, however, encounter a small problem. Since I didn't season {get the board all chalked up} the chalkboard prior to him drawing, when a mistake was made it was obvious. Because
I'm a perfectionist, I'm going to have to erase it to prepare the board better. I'm considering something more simple. I do
love how it turned out though! So, I figured I'd share it with you before it gets erased.
I plan on working on it this weekend once I've gotten a little rest.
It's been a busy week and I'm beginning to feel like this.
If I could only look so fashionably tired.
Will return once the bags from under my eyes disappear.
