Care For a Glass Of...

juice?

I'm so in love with these juice glasses from Anthropologie.

I had to share them with you all immediately.

Could they get any cuter?

The plan is to buy one of each and display them on one of these guys.

Then adding a few inexpensive juice glasses...

perfect for your breakfast table!

A Family, A Festival and A Frame!

This weekend was ridiculously awesome!

Yesterday Rob and I took our goddaughter to a local pumpkin festival.

She appeared to be having a good time until she passed out from pure exhaustion.

Poor kiddo.

The festival was held at an old camp ground.

So naturally my camera was snapping photos paparazzi style.

Can you tell I have a serious obsession with first aid signs?

Shortly after...

Too cute for words.

So the grown ups headed into the haunted hay maze.

Eek!

Blurry but funny.

Then we headed into town for some grub

and returned back to the cottage for some swinging...

A fabulous time.

And last but not least...

...our recent deer silhouette purchase.

Pumpkin Picking and Our Fall Porch

Temperatures in the high 70's in October is unheard of where we live.

Trust me, I'm not complaining!  

Rob and I went pumpkin picking this weekend and

since I tend to be a freeze baby, the nice weather allowed

me to take my time.  Usually I'm in and out.  Brrr! 

The mission of the trip was to find pumpkins, hay stacks, and 

those pretty cabbage plants to liven up the cottage's front porch.

We'll be sad once all those pretty leaves decide to fall.

I'll be sad because I know what's ahead

(I'm a lousy season transitioner- is that a word?)

Rob will be sad because we've got to rake them all up.

With all these tree's, the process has already begun!

How Much Wood...

A wonderful winter surprise on a warm fall day.

Yes, indeedy!

Rob and I were the fortunate finders of a fire wood rack

 in the woods behind our cottage.

Don't worry...it was on our property!

I'll snap a picture of it tomorrow.

There's something about a wood rack that has me swooning!

Quite a few houses in our neighborhood have these babies on their front porch.

In my opinion, they really set the tone.  Immediately I get the impression that

those neighbors have a warm and cozy home. 

Maybe I've seen too many movies. 

Not maybe...I most definitely have.

And maybe, subconsciously, I associate fire wood racks with

snow, fires, family, and comfort food.

I hope you enjoy looking at wood as much as I do...
